Chelsea came to us at 4 months old. She was a sweet loving dog, with an appealing look. She was originally purchased as a pet for a boy living with our family but after he left and we inherited her, we realized that she looked like a show quality dog. And so we sent her with a friend who showed and she had win after win that winter, many of them best of variety wins. But in all that time their were no majors. And so her show career ended with Chelsea having 9 points and no majors. We did try to return her to the ring once we knew there were majors but the whole scene just bored her. 

We bred her to Cody about a year later and Talia was born. And Talia was her first champion, and to this day, her most successful, showing her way to #10 ranked 13" in 1997 - Breed System. Chelsea's next litter produced 3 champions, Chalee, Summer, & Benjamin. Porsche & Taz later added to her champion get tally, and hopefully soon Porsche's litter mate, Hannah will join the ranks.

Chelsea is still as great as ever, an elegant lovely lady. Her nickname is "Lucky Dog" because I always thought she looked like the Luck Dragon in Neverending Story. She chatters at us when she wants something or if you talk silly to her. Chelsea has made such an impact on our lives through her own sweet personality which drew us to the beagles that now rule our lives and through her beautiful children who led us to explore the conformation show ring.
